
Indian Music by Ricky Romain
Ricky Romain is a sitar player who plays Indian Classical Music and is based in the South West of England. Ricky has performed at festivals, concert halls, art centres and weddings throughout the UK and in Europe.
He has also been involved in a wide variety of collaborations and recordings with Classical Indian musicians and has worked with musicians from other musical and artistic genres including Samswara (sitar and tabla duo) Jazz, Rock, Folk, World and Western Classical Music, Dance, and Movement.
Ricky has also been involved in a number of school and community arts projects (www.rickyromain.com) using Indian Folk and Classical music as a focus for interdisciplinary study, and for 15 years was an associate lecturer in Indian classical music at the University of Plymouth. (Now retired 2022)
